Wizz Air – charges for baggage at the airport

Back to news

When travelling with Wizz Air, you have only a small cabin baggage included in the fight ticket price. Its maximum dimensions are 42×32×25 cm and it has to find under the seat in front of you. Do you want to know what to do when your baggage is larger and you are already at the airport? Read on and find out all the necessary information!

If your bag is larger than allowed but is dimensions do not exceed 56×45×25 cm, you can still take it onboard for a fee. Paying for it during check-in is the cheaper way. You will pay €28.12 / £30 per passenger per flight. However, if you decide to pay for it right before boarding, it will be more expensive. The fee is €42.18 / £45 per passenger per flight. Remember that Wizz Air has strict one passenger – one cabin bag policy. Those who carry more than one piece won’t be admitted to the security check.

If you don’t have prepaid baggage and you still carry some, there is an option to pay for it at the airport. Charges are much higher than online. You will pay €48.21 / £51 per bag per flight at the check-in or while boarding.

Plan your packing in advance when travelling with Wizz Air and consider prepaying your baggage as it can save you a lot of money! Check the details at wizzair.com for more info.
